The 8 steps to install a New Air Spring on Your Vehicle

Replacing a broken air spring may require the help of a mechanic, but you can cut down your expenses by simply installing it yourself.

1:Park your car on a horizontal floor and use a floor jack to lift it.Place the Jack bracket under the vehicle for support.

2: Remove the nuts one by one and remove the wheels.Use a wrench to do this procedure.

3: Open the top of the air mouth, emptying the air spring.

4: Remove the air spring fixed in place a group of fasteners. These bolts can usually be found on the control arm and under the hood.Keep in mind that the steps to remove the air spring vary from car to vehicle, so be sure to consult your owner's manual to know exactly what your removal method is.

5: Carefully remove the old air spring from the shock. If necessary, use a spring compressor to make disassembly easier.You can reuse the O-ring that connects the air spring to the impact.

6: Place the new air spring where you remove the old air spring.

7: Reconnect it to the electric shock using the previously removed O-ring.Make sure to apply the lubricant on them before putting them back.

8: Reattach all components that you deleted. Re-check if there are no missing bolts, nuts and accessories.
